Gunman Held on Kidnap Charge After 16 hour siege
Kenneth Eugene Adkins, 22, was arraigned on a kidnapping charge in Edgar County jail after a 16 hour police siege at a Paris area home. He allegedly forced his half sister Nyra Jean Kennedy, 34, to accompany him to his mother's Charleston home and kept her prisoner all night. More than 30 law officers surrounded the frame house. Charleston police captain Logan Cox had arrested Adkins previously for assault and disorderly conduct.
