Rosenberg Stay Sparks Impeachment Talk In Congress
Washington reports that Justice Douglas granted a stay of execution to Julius and Ethel Rosenberg while the government seeks a full court review. Atty. Gen. Brownell called the action unprecedented as Rep. Wheeler pledges two bills to impeach the justice. The stay shifts the timing of the Rosenberg case back to the New York district court for a legal ruling on the applicable law.
