Fred A Blumer 79 longtime cheese maker and Turnverein member died at 9 AM at his Monroe home after a six month heart condition retirement since 1956. Born January 11 1879 in Canton Glarus he immigrated to America in 1900 and worked as an electrical mechanic before turning to cheese production across Wisconsin and Illinois. Survived by wife two sons four daughters and 13 grandchildren his funeral is set for Wednesday at 1 30 PM at Shriner Neushwander funeral home with St John s Church officiating IOOF burial at Greenwood cemetery.
