Monroe's Junior Legion crushed Galena Illinois High School 17 0 in a Monday game at Recreation Park. Dick Youngwith and Mike Molitor led the assault with home runs and three hits apiece as Yoichi Hosoya and Mike Wells also collected three hits. Mark Loeffel and Randy Zuber combined on the mound for the win. The next Legion game will be Friday night at Recreation Park against Black Hawk High School.
