Milk Price Averages $2.76 for Swiss Cheese March
The average price paid to farmers for milk used in March Swiss cheese was 2.76 dollars, seven cents below February. The figure derives from representative factories using a butterfat average of 3.37 versus February’s 3.43. Net income and milk production rose about 590 percent from February as the flush period began. Factory prices for Swiss remained unchanged at State brand 37-B, Grade C 31, and grinders.

Pfisterer to Receive Administrator Award at Wisconsin Fair
Retired Brodhead school administrator C. T. Pfisterer will be honored during the 1955 Wisconsin State Fair in Milwaukee for 34 years of service. E. O. Evans and A. K. Lyons, both with long records in education, supported Pfisterer after declining the honor themselves. Pfisterer began teaching in rural schools after World War I, then served as Brodhead superintendent since 1922. Mrs. Augusta Zwickey aged 77 died Saturday morning at her son Marvin Zwickey’s home. Services will be held at 2 pm tomorrow at the Brooklyn Methodist Church with burial in Brooklyn Cemetery. A German native, she came to Evansville area as a young woman and lived there before moving to Brooklyn three years ago. Surviving are her son, three sisters Frnestine Baumgartner Brooklyn Emma Ringhand Oregon and Amelia Hall Evansville, plus a grandchild and great grandchild.
