The Bank of Brodhead promotes June dairy month with free chocolate and white milk from a refrigerated dispenser. Finalists in the community queen contest join the present dairy queen for the first milk toast. A dinner for the three finalists is set for June 17 at The Chalet Supper Club.

Madison welcomes first Mexican consul Dr. Rudolph C Hecht
Dr. Rudolph C Hecht appointed honorary Mexican consul for Madison to foster cultural exchange civic affairs and intergovernmental ties. Hecht an assistant clinical professor at UW Medical School will use the post to assist foreign students visitors and residents planning trips to Mexico.
