Registration for four park programs was canceled this afternoon and will be held tomorrow and Monday. Storm Roars Through Chicago Suburbs Killing Child
A fierce wind and rain storm raked suburbs northwest of Chicago causing one child death and widespread damage from Glenview to Wheeling. A 3 year old girl from Wheeling died when a trailer was overturned near Wheeling. her father was hospitalized with leg fractures. Wrecked structures included a 256 foot radio tower at Arlington Heights and damage at Pal-Waukee Airport and Rolling Meadows.
