Quinn to Assist Rockford Mayor as Administrative Assistant

Clothing Sorting Slated Tomorrow For Closet Here

The Clothes Closet of the Woman's Club of Monroe will not be open tomorrow due to an all day winter to summer clothing sort by the Clothes Closet committee. A June afternoon session will be announced to assist summer needs. The closet closes in July and August except for emergencies. It operates rent free in Con Nard Manor in the Commercial and Savings Bank building.

Swiss Style Building Opens in New Glarus Village

The Hall of History at the New Glarus Swiss Village Museum is completed and open to the public on Friday May 30. A joint Swiss and American effort, the new modern Swiss style hall hosts Textile Printing In The Swiss Canton of Glarus featuring dramatic photos sketches and fabric swatches showing a century of hand weaving in Glarus. Armitage Remains Critical After Albany Crash

Gary Armitage age 18 of Route 1 Albany remains in critical condition at St. Clare Hospital after a Sunday morning crash. He endured nearly five hours of surgery for leg and puncture wounds when his car struck a bridge railing. He is the son of Mr and Mrs Robert Armitage.

Kiwanis Tour Highlights West Clarno Forestry Project

Kiwanis Club members will tour the West Clarno Schoolhouse forestry project with talks by Albert Deppeler and Myron Jeglum. The Green County Forestry Education Center Inc. owns the schoolhouse and the 21 acre woodlot donated by Deppeler. Twenty Monroe High School seniors were honored at a banquet sponsored by First National Bank of Monroe in the M Room at the high school. Supt. D. J. Huenink welcomed guests as Principal Lee Olsen presided, and Edward M. Adam lauded the students. William E.
