Ernest Pickett, 66, of Woodford, died this afternoon after a fall from a barn roof while shingling at the Sam Pehl farm near Woodford. He sustained serious back injuries when he slipped about 40 feet and was brought to St. Clare hospital by Wagner ambulance about 11:30 a.m.
