Platteville Men Injured in Weekend County Crashes
Two Platteville youths were hospitalized after a 2 15 p m sideswipe on Highway 11 one mile west of Monroe. Julius Brandt 17 and Kenneth Anderson 28 were driving separate cars with Brandt and Wayne Pett unhurt. Andersons wife and two daughters escaped injury as Brandt sideswiped to avoid the Anderson vehicle. Two passengers Joseph Tierney 17 and Harland Stephens 17 suffered head injuries. A rain storm caused a second crash on Highway 1181 near Brodhead, injuring Wayne McPeek 44 and knee injure Mrs Murray during a chain of spins involving Paul Wixom 51 Jesse Murray 62 and others. Minor damage followed when Clifford Stark 29 collided with Wilil Babler .

Weekend Crashes Kill Seven in State
Seven people died in Wisconsin weekend crashes. Herman Fink aged 48 from Chicago was killed in a two car collision near Fairchild. His wife Alice was critically injured. David G. Lubner, 19, Saukville, died and a motorcyclist and a car collided near Saukville. A youth died in a Sturgeon Bay motorcycle crash. Robert Little, 24, Wausau, died after a three cycle race pileup at Door County Fairgrounds. Four people perished in a head on collision on highway 57 near Sturgeon Bay. Earl La Mere 35 Sturgeon Bay Alphonse Denny 65 Oneida Rose Hill 22 Bowler and her two year old son Charles killed in the same crash.
