4-H Exhibitor List Complete For County Fair
Nearly 1,000 exhibitors from 4-H FFA and Junior Leaders groups are listed for Green County Centennial Fair opening next Wednesday. Dairy leads with 111 exhibitors, beef has 20 head of cattle, swine 47 entries, poultry 62 exhibits, and nine sheep exhibitors. Open class judges and major exhibits include crafts foods garden corn and grain electricity and more. The Centennial parade set for Friday noon will feature 30 units at the grandstand. Parking space is filled and extra land for carnival trailers and storage has been rented. Insecticide sprayers will target flies and mosquitos.

Aid Fund Bill Goes to Senate
The House passed and sent to the Senate a foreign aid appropriation of 5.208 billion dollars for the current fiscal year. The 266 to 128 roll call split largely along party lines, with 144 Democrats, 121 Republicans, and 1 Independent in support, and 85 Republicans and 43 Democrats opposed. The measure, the last appropriation bill this year, gaps with President Eisenhower’s budget by about 812 million. The Senate will consider the foreign aid authorization alongside this measure.

Jaycette Chapter presented a height adjustable therapy table to St Clare hospital for cerebral palsy and polio patients. The maple linoleum topped card table size device features a central opening for standing play to build balance and leg strength. Hermanson Hurt In One Car Crash
A 17 year old rural Argyle youth was hospitalized after a one car crash on Highway 78 between Argyle and Blanchardville. Richard Hermanson Route 1 Argyle was brought to St Clares hospital with a fractured collar bone head injuries and cuts and bruises. The car reportedly missed a curve and rolled skidded 665 feet before hitting a bank and overturning. Investigators are unsure who was driving.

Polio Protection Plan Unveiled by Green County Medical Society
