Tax Levy Gets Okay at Session
The Black Hawk School Board approved a 403 373 tax levy at the second annual meeting on July 22. Three directors were elected Homer Pickett Gordon Johnson and Lloyd Burkhalter to three year terms. The board kept current salaries and approved sale of unused property. A census tied school closings to a voter approved amendment. Grades one to six still use one room schools and fees remain unchanged except for a proposed textbook policy that failed.
