Monroe Fun Day Draws 500 to Fifth Annual Event
About 500 children joined Monroe's fifth annual Fun Day at Recreation Park. The day featured a parade at the ball diamond, a swimming pool program for roughly 350 children, sandlot baseball with Evansville, playground contests, a train trip to Juda, and activities with Evansville participants led by Miss Vivian Sanderson. Winners included many youngsters in events such as water races, tandem races, egg races, novelty relays, tug o wars, and shuffleboard. Monroe Park Players staged two plays in the afternoon.

City Council Set To Vote On Aerial Spraying For Polio Fight
