Double Fatality on U S 8 Near Rhinelander Increases Toll
The Wisconsin highway death toll for 1971 rose to 512 after a head on collision on U S 8 west of Rhinelander killed 19 year old William P. Krueger of Rhinelander and 28 year old Carol R Ahlborn of Tomahawk. A separate pedestrian fatality occurred Monday when 68 year old John J Biese of rural West DePere was struck crossing U S 41.

Local youths fined for park disturbances in Manitowoc

Five Sheboygan slayings shock quiet neighborhood
In Sheboygan Wisconsin five people were found shot to death in two nearby homes on the South Side. Victims include Naomi Rammer fifty and her son John sixteen and Paul eleven and Tom ten, plus Mrs Warren Dean fifty. A nineteen year old male is in protective custody as a material witness. A rifle was found at the Rammer home and may be the weapon used. The killings are believed to have occurred late Sunday or early Monday.
