Two Men Injured In One Car Crash
Two men from Monroe and Argyle were injured when their car left County Trunk I near South Wayne in Lafayette County at 4 30 p m yesterday. Calvin E Erickson 27 of 1810 th street and Robert Penniston 29 Argyle suffered cuts and bruises. The vehicle rolled over and Erickson apparently lost control. Sheriff Lawrence James said the damage to the car was 700 dollars and a total loss and the car struck a fence owned by Chester Hansen causing 19 dollars damage.

Arnold Albert Erb, 28, missing since April 15, was found hanging in a tree in Cavenaugh woods four miles southwest of Blanchardville by Helmer Pederson and his son Kenneth while berry picking. Coroner Joseph Connolly said Erb, despondent over ill health, died by a saling wire. Born June 3, 1926 in Clark County, he lived near Blanchardville three years and was not married. He leaves his mother, three sisters, and five brothers. Private services set for 1 p.m. tomorrow at Mt Vernon with Rev Zane Pautz officiating. burial in Mt Vernon cemetery.
