The event at the Miller home yard near Whitehaven Nursing Home features penny auction bean bag toss marble shoot bowling prizes and refreshments with a ten cent admission for children and free for parents. Proceeds and donations go to Muscular Dystrophy research and support amid adult supervision and hopes for good weather and crowds.

The Wisconsin Idea Theatre presents Song of the Inland Seas a free program at Twining Park Bandshell Sunday July 19 at 8 p.m. Sponsored by Monroe Park and Recreation and the Moose Lodge, the show lasts about 75 minutes and covers Great Lakes history from explorers to present shipping and conservation.
