The New York market slipped in late trading with most key stocks easing. Chrysler fell about two points on large block sales while overall volume reached about 3.7 million shares, down from 4.13 million the previous day as gains evaporated.
The Agricultural Chest Inc approved 1 million dollars liability and 19 050 bail insurance for the State and National Mechanical Corn Pickers contests to be held Oct 23 24 at the agricultural building. Insurance costs total 435 and 291 46 for the two days. Jack Marty chairs underwriting of the land judging project. Dennis G Novinski of Blanchardville will print at least 15 000 contest programs with advertising revenue to printer. A contestants banquet Oct 23 will be in the M room at the high school. Green County Dairy Queen to be paid 10 a day plus mileage and meals for dairy promotions. the Chest will provide a queen costume each year. Arthur Carter is contest coordinator. Clarence Grundahl left for Europe. Carter to attend two weeks of summer reserve training with John Ferguson covering in his absence.
National Guard troops were ordered back into Cambridge Maryland after hours of racial violence left six white residents wounded. Police arrested 12 people while tear gas and shotgun fire marred a chaotic night as a 300 person march and 1,000 hecklers clashed near the courthouse and armory.
The Public Health Service reports 775 people in 25 states and the District of Columbia have salmonella from cracked or unclean eggs. The outbreak began in New York City last March and has spread. 601 hospitalizations across 40 hospitals in 10 states. Authorities warn against feeding raw or undercooked eggs to vulnerable groups.
David S. Shaffer visited Proves Talents calling foxes near town, drawing area outdoorsmen. From Los Alamos New Mexico he used a Weems Wild call to mimic an injured rabbit, drawing foxes within 25 to 30 feet. Local onlookers Myron Stair and Clinton Blackbourn praised the feat as thrilling and planned to learn the technique. Shaffer works at a nuclear lab and hunts predators as a hobby, saying he has called in eagles and housecats as well.
Green Bay Wisconsin activity at the Wisconsin Cheese Exchange features one car State brand barrel cheese sold at 33 cents with five cars offered after the sale, uncovered at 33. Two cars at 34 cents. Bids for one car raw milk colored cheddars at 34 and two cars pasteurized colored 40 lb blocks at 35 remained unfilled at close.
Assemblyman Robert Huber moved to reconsider the action killing the compromise budget tax bill. The Assembly will review the measure next week amid chaotic Thursday votes and beer tax changes that left the state short of balance for a 1963 65 budget.

Three men died in a head on crash on Vilas County Highway KK near Eagle River. Victims were John Mallek 57 of Chicago Erwin R Krumbier 58 and Albert T Carlson 67 all from Milwaukee. A National Guard captain Barnard L Heim 34 of Leavenworth Kansas was killed and three Guardsmen injured when a car struck a bridge on Highway 21 near Sparta.
A military junta ruling Ecuador exiled President Carlos Arosemena. The leaders accused him of drunkenness and sympathizing with communism. A radio report from Quito carried in Colombia noted casualties and security concerns.
Arosemena and his entourage entered the government palace to assume office amid a coup. A military spokesman cited his drunken behavior at a banquet for Admiral Wilfred McNeil and an angry clash with U S envoy Maurice Bernbaum. Chiefs of the armed services met and forced his resignation after guarantees of personal safety.
Phil Rodgers of La Jolla California and Bob Charles of New Zealand tied for the British Open after Jack Nicklaus bogied the last two holes. Rodgers and Charles finished at 277 after 72 holes while Nicklaus ended one behind at 278 after a late stumble on 17 and 18.
