Imprisonment or Death In Tate Case Hinges on Testimony

Swiss Ambassador Consul to Visit New Glarus Sunday

Swiss Ambassador Felix Schnyder and Consul General Alexandre Manz visit Green County for a luncheon at Wilhelm Tell Supper Club and an evening Swiss program at the New Glarus Hotel. Delegations from Monroe and Madison Swiss clubs expected. tours include Hall of History and local farms. Schnyder, born 1910 in Burgdorf, had a long career in Swiss foreign service including roles with UN and UNICEF.

St. Clare Hospital nets 600000 from fund drive for building

The Friends of St. Clare Hospital Fund Appeal has raised 621000 and will finance the new 8% million building addition. Robert M. Bussen, appeal chair, says the drive continues in a shifted form with pledges now funding patient rooms equipment and departmental facilities. Investments by the management committee helped grow the total. donors are urged to fulfill remaining pledges. Construction is 65 percent complete and may allow earlier occupancy than planned. Donations earmarked for specific departments can be made at Green County banks.
