Century Old Evansville House Burns to Ground
A century old house on the Ray Roberts farm north of Evansville burned yesterday from an undetermined source. Mr and Mrs Carl Fiechter, tenants, escaped with their three year old daughter but lost their personal possessions. The two story frame house had been remodeled and the Roberts place valued the loss at about 9000 dollars.

Fred Stroble, 68, a baker, was found guilty of first degree murder in the brutal sex slaying of six year old Linda Joyce Glucoft. A 12-member jury deliberated about three and a half hours before returning the verdict. Stroble had admitted strangling stabbing and bludgeoning the child last November 14 and pleaded insanity.
