Death cause disputed at murder trial over Wrosch case
Doctors testified over the death of elderly Barnhard Wrosch in a first degree murder trial of his 46 year old widow. Two defense medical witnesses said Wrosch died Aug 25 1949 from pernicious anemia after participating in an autopsy Sept 12 1949. They contrasted with other physicians who cited arsenic poisoning.

Ten Die In Northwest Airliner Crash In Washington
A Northwest twin engined Martin 202 bound from Chicago to Seattle crashed near Edwall Washington. Ten people perished nine aboard plus the crew of three and seven passengers on board. Investigators began probing the wreckage as snow covered a wheat field and asked witnesses for details. The crash occurred after a Spokane stop and thirteen minutes after takeoff the pilot reported trouble.
