Monroe March of Dimes drives stage toll bridges
Area chairmen named motorists to pay a penny a pound for airplane rides at Monroe airport on January 25 with a new Airlift project to boost the March of Dimes drive. Teenagers and Boy Scout Troop 101 will staff toll bridges on 16th avenue, 10th street, and 13th avenue near Lincoln School, Kroger, and Monroe Chick eries, with Roy Hefty and LeRoy Phillips directing. Proceeds go to the campaign. Pure Oil will donate gasoline and pilots will provide planes.

Health Post Resigns Biology and Science Teacher Edwards

Atomic Device Promises Yearlong Satellite Power

Jane Now in Cast After Leg Surgery
Jane White an 11 year old daughter of Mrs. Fred A L White underwent surgery yesterday at the Shrine hospital in Minneapolis and has been placed in a cast. Her mother and Miss Helen Burkhard will drive to Minneapolis tomorrow to spend the weekend with Jane. Jane was flown from Monroe airport to Minneapolis Jan 8 for treatment at the expense of the Green County Shrine Club after a fall on Nov 20 left a severe leg and hip injury. She was at St Clare hospital until Jan 8 when surgery became necessary.
