Herman A Becker 59 longtime Monticello principal and former athletic coach died when his car driven by his wife struck a bridge abutment on Highway PB south of Verona. Hazel Hoesly Becker was treated for facial cuts and a fractured arm. Becker taught over 35 years and led district basketball tournaments. Services were set for Tuesday with burial in New Glarus.
