Japanese dairy student learns Illinois herd methods

Kenichi Matsumoto, 22, a Japanese dairy farmer, works at Larry Huneke’s Kent area dairy in Stephenson County Illinois. He studies herd management and milking technology to apply in Japan, milking 12 Holstein cows with his grandfather and leading a dairy club of 38 trainees.

Orangeville Sets Election April 12 for School Board

Monroe High School Symphonic Band directed by Joseph Kieraldo presented a Pops Concert last evening in the Junior High auditorium. Robert Smith, Carroll College music director, praised the band's performance and the soloists Acknowledgments included Sear Pickett Fond du Lac and other guests from Carroll College St Norbert College and Dodgeville public schools Funds from the event support a Dick Reudebusch scholarship for his young son and the community praised the musicians and the Womans Club for rescheduling to avoid conflicts.

Julie Ann Has Heart Operation At Mayo Clinic

Three day old Julie Ann Douglas daughter of Richard and Mildred Douglas underwent a heart operation at Mayo Clinic Rochester. The procedure addressed a clogging artery from the lung to the heart and the baby was reported as doing as well as possible after the surgery.
