Visitation Resumed as Flu Declines at County Hospital

Monroe Man Suffered Hip Pain After Monroe Crash

Dennis C. Cook, 19, Route 3 Monroe, was taken to St. Clare hospital for observation after a two car crash at 11:50 p m in Monroe. Deputies said Cook drove out of control in the 400 block of Highway I 11 West hitting a car driven by Thomas L Schild, Route 4 Monroe. Both eastbound vehicles sustained heavy damage and no injuries were reported beyond Cook.

Monroe Jaycettes celebrated Jaycette Week proclamation

Monroe Mayor Walter R. Ekum signed a proclamation declaring February 10 to 16 as Jaycette Week. The Monroe Jaycettes, auxiliary to the Monroe Jaycees, run leadership and community projects benefiting families and the Green County area. Their 1968 1969 officers include Mrs Jack Ferman president and other listed officers. The unit supports CP and Mental Health programs and has donated over $5,000 locally, with a Jaycette display planned at First National Bank and multiple outreach activities already underway.

Burglary Suspects In Warren Area Jailed In Two Counties

Four youths linked to three Warren Illinois burglaries and an attempted bank check pass were jailed Friday. Gary L. Schubert 19 and Gregory S. DeWall 18 held in Jo Daviess County Galena jail. their companions Nikki Schubert and Roberta Endress 19 held in Rockford for possession of stolen property. Stolen items include cash a TV set and blank checks. Bond set at 1000 dollars each.

Salvation Army Truck Runs in Monroe and Juda
