Senior Class Play Cancelled Tonight at Monroe High

The 1971 Monroe High School Senior Class cancels Friday night show of Hay Fever by Noel Coward due to extreme conditions. The Saturday Sunday matinees proceed with final props and scenery ready. Proceeds fund graduation costs and class expenditures. tickets available at the door or from seniors. Directors are Kent Duit and Earl, both high school English instructors. Lu C Funk stars as Judith Bliss with Gary Babler as David Bliss. John Baumann and Barbara Barth play the Bliss's son roles.

Shepard And Mitchell Land On Fra Mauro Moon Surface

Apollo 14 astronauts Alan B. Shepard Jr and Edgar D. Mitchell descended to the lunar surface at Fra Mauro, with Shepard becoming the fifth human to walk on the Moon at 9:54 a.m. EST and both guiding a mission safety plan after a near abort caused by a computer issue.
