Monroe To Host Dracula Play At Junior High School

Final preparations underway for Count Dracula to be staged at Monroe Junior High School auditorium on Thursday to Saturday at 8. Rick Brand stars as Dracula with Kathy Pintar as Mina Murray and Duke Goetz, John Baumann, Jon Ottoson among cast. Tickets range from 1 to 2 dollars. directing by Candice Dexheimer and Sandy Reese.

Green County Ag Chest holds annual meeting elects leadership

Green County Ag Chest last night at the Ag Building reelected John Wegmueller as president and reappointed officers Boyd Atkinson and Mrs. Thomas Saunders with Henry Spring as treasurer. New directors include Gayle Gohlke Rodney Sutherland William Pryce and others from Albany Monticello Monroe and surrounding towns as the group adopts an 8 175 budget and discusses Dairy Day Beef and Queen programs.

Monroe School Board weighs Browntown Hiawatha options

Dr. Burnell Smith releases alternatives and costs for Browntown and Hiawatha as Monroe School District prepares for the February 17 special meeting at Monroe High School.
