William C. Lengacher, longtime Dane County assistant district attorney and Monroe native, was fired by Dist. Atty. Floyd W. Mc Burney Jr. Lengacher faced police complaints over an attempted rape case and was dismissed for unsatisfactory work and handling of cases. Mc Burney announced the action from his Madison General Hospital room and asked the dismissal be upheld on appeal.
