Four month old Timothy A. Berget of South Wayne died in a car crash when his mother’s vehicle veered off County Trunk KK three miles south of Gratiot. Louise Olson 73, also of South Wayne, was injured and treated at St. Clare hospital. The infant’s death marked Lafayette County's first traffic fatality of 1960.
