A labor government figure denounces tyranny incompetence and announces plans to seek a parliamentary vote of censure next month over farm and rail seizures. The statement frames the actions as part of a broader political crisis and signals intensified parliamentary pressure.
Kenneth B. Slocum of Beloit will become Green County's new assistant agricultural agent and 4-H club leader effective January 1. He replaces W. C. Baumgartner who moved from Indiana to Illinois last January to lead 34 counties. Slocum is married with one daughter and previously resigned to find a residence in Urbana. He returns to his parents' Rockcount farm with strong recommendations and was chosen from a secret ballot at the county courthouse.
A towering fire at the Union grain elevator in Minneapolis sent flames over 150 feet high and was visible for miles. The facility held nearly 3 million bushels of grain, initially reported as barley, with losses expected to exceed 3 million dollars at current market prices.
In northern West Virginia and eastern Ohio, Consolidation Coal Co says 2569 miners will receive a $50 wage advance to be repaid in January. District President C Fremont Davis of United Mine Workers calls the move one of the finest acts heard.

Rev Alvin C Rabehl was named secretary treasurer. the year ends with Dec 26 meeting and installation of new president Marshall L Peterson.
