Gibson Retired Diplomat Dies at 71 in Geneva
Geneva Switzerland Hugh S. Gibson longtime U S diplomat and director of the Intergovernmental Committee for European Migration died Sunday at 71 from a heart attack at his Geneva home. Hoover praised him as a great public servant after a career spanning 1908 to 1952 with posts in Brussels London Paris Vienna Poland and Switzerland and as envoy to Brazil from 1953 to 1937.

$26 000 Taken By Holdup Trio
MILWAUKEE Three armed bandits spent hours in the United Parcel Service building Sunday and escaped with a 500 pound safe and about $25 000 to $26 000 in bundles of $500 each. Three company employees locked in a delivery truck heard the heist as the men whistled while cracking the safe. Police reported the attackers entered about 12 15 pm and left around 2 45 pm. Fifteen minutes after the theft the employees punched a hole through the truck door paneling to aid escape.

A writ suit was filed in Circuit Court against the University of Wisconsin board of regents to stop construction of a 1.5 million dollar athletic practice building in Camp Randall memorial park.
