Susan Grundahl, pianist, performed at St. John's United Church of Christ before Monroe Woman's Club members. The program opened with Bach’s English Suite in G minor, followed by Chopin Nocturne and Capriccio in D minor, then Cres ton Six Preludes. Christmas songs closed the evening, with Mrs. W A Ben der leading group carols.

Alfred Soldwish of Rockford spoke at Monroe DAR on the Story of Courage and Symbol of Hope at the Miss Grace Byers residence. He presented a chart talk showing how handicapped persons are aided by Goodwill Industries through used clothing and furniture processing, renovation and sale to benefit the disabled. Mrs. George Robinson co hosted with Christmas decorations and refreshments.

The Monroe Jaycettes will receive a $420 grant from the Wisconsin Jaycettes to support the cerebral palsy rehabilitation center in Monroe under Dr. Frank C. Stiles. Investigations were led by Mrs. William Teuscher, with five Jaycettes attending a Racine convention and others assisting in mental health and retardation efforts.
