Water main flood near Gonstead apartments finally tapped
A faulty valve left a water main unable to be shut off in front of the Gonstead apartment building. Fire department used an automatic pump to clear water from the trench while workers connected an extension. After hours of battling rising water and blocked traffic, the connection was completed around 2 a.m.
