Mr. and Mrs. Karl Niedermann of 1600 25th Ave observed 50 years of marriage with a family dinner at Idle Hour Mansion on Aug 6. Mass at St. Victor's Church Aug 7 marked their wedding date. Milford Chewning a field representative for The Institute of Church Renewal met with chairmen and members planning a Lay Witness Mission to be held at St John s United Church of Christ on Sept 29 to Oct 3. The weekend will feature dinners luncheons prayer vigil and discussion groups with 30 to 40 lay witnesses from across the United States and the arrival of Milford Chewning. Reverend Wolfgang Koehler joined the meeting and 30 committee members attended. Kayne Kris was born Aug 22 at St. Clare Hospital to Mr and Mrs Ronald D Kuenzi New Glarus. Grandparents and great grandparents listed. Chewning plans return to Alabama after Madison stop. Progress reports were given on weekend events including youth activities and confirmations. A transit speedup note follows about Seattle Blue Streak expansion plans and an $80 000 project adding a second parking lot for 1 000 cars.
