Herried To Get Sanity Checkup In Murder Case
Vernon County authorities asked for a mental examination of 70 year old Carl Herried who admitted killing his wife who was mentally ill in a hospital. District Attorney Wayne Schlintz said Herried confessed to shooting his wife and that his attempt to kill himself with a revolver failed.
