Five Accidents Reported in Green County Over 30 Hours
Sheriff deputies logged five crashes in Green County within 30 hours. One rider, Phillip M. Bliss, 18, Brodhead, suffered a severe concussion and a fractured arm. he was in fair condition. Others included Phillip A. Mueller with a bruised elbow, a Monticello intersection collision involving Ruth Abley and Rose T. Castler, and two more injuries from a Highway 69 wreck near Monroe. A dog-avoidance crash on Jeffrey Road and a minor parking lot collision at the Green County Agriculture Building were also noted.

Fall Fire School to be Held at Green County Fairgrounds
Emmett Cox of the Western Actuarial Bureau will again host the Fall Fire School for Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois at Green County Fairgrounds on Sunday Sept. 27. Eight morning classes led by Chicago and Madison experts will cover firemanship and inspection topics. Cox will open the afternoon session at 1 p.m. with ten demonstrations. a $1 registration applies to males, women and children admitted free.

Green County Cheese Days on September 17 will feature an elephant as part of a parade float. Fires and Theft Reported to Monroe Police
Monroe Police investigated two fires yesterday. In the 500 block of 17th Ave a car with a camera paint can and an 8 cell flashlight was reported stolen from Ben J. Kubly. A small fire started among stacked cheese boxes using lighter fluid. Two six and seven year olds were turned over to their parents. In the 1300 block of 12th Ave a fire was started in a barrel near Fritz Dry Cleaning. Three boys ages 6 6 and 7 were released to their parents.

Electors Vote No On School Merger in Wisconsin Crescent

Emil Dubach 73 of Warren Wisconsin died Monday afternoon of an apparent heart attack near his car while fishing on County Trunk KK in Lafayette County Wisconsin. Born October 20 1893 in Anton Bern Switzerland he moved to America in 1917 and long worked as a cheese maker. Survived by wife Emilie Huss a son Paul a daughter Yvonne Elmer eight grandchildren and eight foster children among others. Services Thursday August 24 at Bartell Funeral Home Warren with burial at St Ann's Cemetery Warren.

State names new head of Division of Highway Safety

Tree Planting Plan Slated to Replace Elms in Monroe
At Park Board Monday night the Forestry Committee was urged to draft a citywide tree planting program for Monroe. Homeowners would choose from six tree types to be supplied and planted by the Park crew, with a goal of Spring or Fall planting in 1967.
