Wisconsin grain stocks fall 20 percent from last year
The Quarterly Grain Stocks Report shows Wisconsin on July 1 held 128 million bushels of grain, down 20 percent from a year earlier. Corn and oats led declines while wheat rose, with state soybean stocks at 142 000 bushels and oats at a record low for July 1. Nationally, corn oats and soybeans dropped, while wheat and feed grains also fell as prices and demand rose. Walters cites high prices and global demand as factors.
