Speed Limits Based Hangar Site Plan Okayed by City Council
The Monroe City Council approved raising the speed limit on a portion of Highway 69 from 25 to 35 mph from 26th Street to the city limits and sent a proposal to extend the zone to 19th Street for further study. Excavation for a new hangar at the airport was approved with an estimated 6,000 cubic feet of dirt moved for a 32 by 240 foot hangar costing about 3,000 dollars.

Judges will visit the five farms Thursday and Friday to determine winner and runner up, to be announced at the PMA fall delegate meeting September 26 at Pheasant Run Lodge near St. Charles Illinois. The top two couples will represent PMA at the National Pure Milk Producers Federation convention in Las Vegas December 6 to 10.
