Martins Depart From Mohns Farm For South American Winter
In Spring Grove Township Mr and Mrs Herbert Mohns note the Purple Martins have left their yard. The birds arrived April 6, faced frosts and hunger, but 22 pairs survived. They trained the young to fly early in July before departing for Brazil over the Gulf of Mexico.
