Packers Fall 27 10 As Cards Rout In Preseason

In Minneapolis the Green Bay Packers under coach Lisle Blackbourn lost 27 10 to the Chicago Cardinals in their first pre season test. Injuries to Dillion Teteak Barry and Davis limited the Pack while Fred Cone’s back sidelined him for about two weeks. Cards took early lead on a Root to Olszewski TD and a Trippi pass, then Summerall booted a 49 yard field goal. Green Bay answered with Tobin Rote guiding a 79 yard drive ending in a sneak, Ferguson starred with two 51 yard catches, but Chicago sealed it with a 73 yard march and Olszewski three yard score.
