Buildings Approved for 1968 Wisconsin State Fair
Milwaukee inspectors allowed opening of the 118th Wisconsin State Fair after last minute repairs to fair grounds buildings. About 200 code violations were cited, mainly electrical. $1,000 in repairs were made. Bleachers in the 4,000-seat Coliseum were secured after timber shoring. Officials consider relocating the exposition, but the current fair promises gala events with free grandstand shows to boost attendance and higher general admission prices. Livestock judging and auto races are scheduled with fees on some days.
