The Wisconsin Senate advanced a reform bill prohibiting cross ticket runs in the 1946 primary after a 15 to 11 vote, amid a lengthy debate. A separate highway fund measure passed the Assembly by voice vote, directing gasoline tax and license revenues solely to highways, though observers doubt it will become law due to anticipated gubernatorial veto.
