Easter Worship Slated by Monroe United Methodist Church

Trout stream stocking completed in Green County
Green County trout streams were stocked with fish on Thursday in Bushnell and Sylvester per J D Stricker of the Wisconsin Department of Conservation. Earlier plantings occurred Monday through Wednesday at several sites including Storey Liberty New Glarus Branch Ham merly Hefty Dougherty Saw Mill and Erickson. Prior plantings were made at Zanders Lake. walleye fingerlings will be stocked later this summer in Sugar and Pecatonica Rivers.

Monroe Square sign to be removed for new time and temperature panel
Since 1958 the Commercial and Savings Bank Time and Temperature sign has been a familiar sight on Monroe's Square. The sign will be removed Saturday weather permitting or early next week and replaced by a new electronic sign to be erected April 28. Operation is scheduled by May 1.
