New Mayor Victor Schiller Outlines City Hall Schedule
Victor N. Schiller, who took office last night, announced weekly Monday hours in City Hall and said he will meet anyone by appointment. He will accept the$600 raise from $1,800 to $2,400, granted Jan. 21 by a 6 to 1 vote, insisting the raise goes to the office of mayor, not him personally. Schiller pledged responsive government and urged citizens to bring grievances to their aldermen, noting the council is the city government.
