Albert Roth 75 New Glarus Dies After Heart Attack
Albert Roth 75 of New Glarus died at home yesterday following a heart attack. Born February 13 1882 in Canton Lucerne Switzerland he came to the U S at 21 and settled near Monroe. He married Emma Urben in 1908 in Monroe and worked as a farmer cheese maker and with Pet Milk Co and Mattison Machine Co before retirement. He leaves eight children two siblings and numerous grandchildren. Services set for 2 pm Thursday Zentner funeral home New Glarus with Rev L F B Tschudy officiating. Burial in Swiss Evangelical and Reformed cemetery.

Gottfried Gottier Sr. 94, longtime Green County cheesemaker, died Saturday at his daughter Mrs. Wayne Garman's Freeport home after a brief illness. Services were held in Freeport with burial at Greenwood cemetery Brodhead. Born December 23 1862 in Bern Switzerland he came to the U S in 1885. He married Mary Freitag in New Glarus July 6 1889. Surviving four daughters a son and seven grandchildren.
