Corporal Bernard Munz son of Mr and Mrs Otto Munz Monroe is awarded the infantryman badge for exemplary conduct in action against the enemy. A veteran of three campaigns against the Japs he serves as gunner in the anti tank company of the 32nd Red Arrow Division on Luzon in the Philippines. He entered the army in April 1941 and went overseas with the 32nd in April 1942.
