Man Shot by Brother-in-Law Near Europa Schoolhouse
In Kennett Missouri on May 23 1909 Henry Culp was shot and killed by his brother in law Charlie Champ 18. Champ fled and a citizen posse led by the Sheriff pursues him. Culp had previously killed Hany Champ at a Senath primary last August after being driven from home. Culp was acquitted on that act. The case sparks fear of summary action if Champ is captured. Mrs. Vivian Dawson born May 28 1873 at Warsaw Illinois married to W O Dawson Sept 22 1896. Four daughters survive with husband. Died May 22 1909 at Mokane Missouri age 35 11 24. Funeral held at First Baptist church interred St Jude's cemetery.
