New Business Mouse Opening In Monroe City Area

Bert Bull, formerly of Williamson & Bull general merchants, plans to reopen a business in the former Monroe City Bank room on Winter Street between Main and Vine within about ten days. Mrs. Sarah Ann Calvert, 80, longtime Marion County resident, died at her Warren home Monday at 2:00 pm, with burial in the family grounds yesterday. Calvert was noted for her knowledge of the county’s history and served on a staff near Ebenezer church in 1834, one of five on the North River expedition, two of whom survived.
