Masonry lecture by Rev Weeks draws Masons to Monroe Lodge
Monroe Lodge No. 64 invited Rev. E. D. Weeks to speak on Masonry on February 22, Washingtons birthday. Despite storms a large crowd attended both the lecture on the Mission of Masonry and the postlecture banquet at Maddox Hotel with about 100 people. The event was well received and deemed a good evening.

Edward Blackburn Dies After Assault at Sale
Edward Blackburn, cashier of Hunnewell bank, acted as clerk of Mrs. Spencers sale. He was knocked down and trampled by a tule and died from his injuries Monday. Funeral held yesterday at 11 a.m. Blackburn was a nephew of Mrs. R. V. Dawson of this city. Attendees included A. Boulware and wife, J. H. McClintic and wife, J. B. McClintic and wife, and Mrs. E. J. Hubbard. New Deere Gang and Sulky Plows advertised at A. Jaeger’s.
