The American Woman's League invites Monroe City to recruit 40 residents to raise 2080 in new subscriptions to the Democrat and partner magazines. If reached, a furnished chapter house with library and phonograph will be built and supported from headquarters. Subscriptions count toward lifelong membership with no dues. W J Rouse, Editor.
Coroner Wilson reassembles his jury today as Dr. Paul Schweitzer reports findings from the Vaughn case. Schweitzer notes a fraction of a grain of strychnine in stomach and liver, with remaining organs including spleen kidneys heart brain and intestines to be examined. experts estimate Vaughn ingested about three grains in total.

Regular services next Sunday at 11 am and 7 pm with Sunday School at 9 45. Woman's Mission Society meets with Mrs D H Stevens at 2 30 pm Friday. Daily services at 2 30 and 7 30 pm.
Reverend B F Hixson passed away after a long illness at 4 15 yesterday morning Funeral services are to be led by Rev B D Weeks from the First Baptist Church at 1 pm this afternoon A full obituary will run next week
