Woman loses leg after buggy accident near Ely home
Mrs Edward Newell was badly injured when her buggy horse spooked near H. W. Ely’s home. She jumped from the buggy, breaking the leg above the ankle. The bone protruded, mortification set in, and the foot was amputated Sunday by Dr A. W. Ely. She is expected to recover.
